Milly Alcock played young Princess Rhaenyra on House of the Dragon.
House of Dragon’s first season was recently an increase of 10 years with the sixth episode. During the same, the main character, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen was given the role of a casting change. Milly Alcock, who appeared in the film’s earlier version of the character was changed to Emma D’Arcy. After the first five episodes having an impact on the audience, viewers were disappointed with Milly’s exile.
In an interview by Variety house of the dragon’s showrunner Ryan Condal spoke about whether Milly Alcock’s younger princess Rhaenyra will appear for flashback scenes. In discussing the show’s plans for the initial and second season, Condal said “I say, look I’m not sure. They’re not part of the story we’re currently telling. This isn’t something we’re working on right now.” But, not giving up on the possibility of a future, he stated, “There are things that aren’t completely resolved. I’m not closing the doors on any issue.”
In the most recent installment of the program in which Emma D’Arcy steps into the role of Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke is seen playing the part of Queen Alicent who was played previously by Emily Carey. Based on the reactions to the show viewers have been amazed by D’Arcy as well as Cooke who will carry the remainder of the series alongside the main characters.
House of the Dragon has been renewed for a new season after the success of its debut season. The show also features Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Fabien Frankel and more in leading roles. The debut season will comprise of 10 episodes.
