Cameron claims Avatar’s restored version looks “better”. We were stunned.

Avatar will be re-released on September 23, 2022. The upgraded version of Avatar comes out months before its sequel’s December release. The James Cameron-directed film was the highest-grossing of all time, thus sequel anticipation is high.

At the film’s global press conference, attended by Pinkvilla, director James Cameron, and the film’s stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, and Stephen Lang, they addressed working on the first film and its popularity. During the same interview, Cameron was asked about re-releasing the film and its differences from the original.

The director of Avatar commented, “Since the film’s premiere 12 years ago, it’s improbable that anyone under 22 or 23 has watched it in a theater.” So you haven’t seen the movie. We made a 3D film for the large screen. “We remastered it in 4K, HDR, and 48fps.”

Remastering “”It’s looking better than it ever looked, even in its initial release,” Cameron added, describing how the experience will be different for new and old fans. A new generation of film aficionados is emerging. Even if they loved the movie on streaming or Blu-ray, they haven’t seen it as we planned. “The film blew us away after we completed remastering it.”

The director said he’s delighted for anyone who missed it in theatres to see it, and he’s “very impressed” with how the remastered version looks.

On September 23, 2022, Avatar will re-release in India.
