Twinkle Khanna donned a fake mustache in a recent Instagram Reels video where she gave a glimpse of her interview with famous chef Sanjeev Kapoor. During the interview, they discussed Kapoor’s cooking show hosting career, recipes, and his rumored biopic. When Twinkle inquired about Kapoor’s preference for an actor to play him in the biopic, he jokingly asked where Akshay Kumar, Twinkle’s husband, was. Twinkle then put on the fake mustache and said Akshay could easily pass off as Kapoor due to his signature mustache.
Kapoor complimented Twinkle’s look with the fake mustache, and she revealed that as a child, her mother, Dimple Kapadia, used to tease her about having a natural mustache. Twinkle even quoted a line from the 1964 film Sharabi, where Amitabh Bachchan says, “If you have a mustache, it should either be like Nathulal or not be there at all.”
The Instagram Reels video also showed Twinkle and Kapoor in a cooking competition, with Twinkle still wearing the fake mustache while plating a dish. Kapoor declared Twinkle the winner, and she later shared a clip from the interview on Instagram Stories, inviting viewers to watch the entire interview on Tweak India’s YouTube channel.
Fans praised Twinkle’s look with the fake mustache, with some even comparing it to Charlie Chaplin’s or the mustache of Jethalal Champaklal Gada, a character on the Indian sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
